DESCRIPTION:    This creates a firmware upgrade diskette that allows a user to upgrade the  System ROM on any of the above Deskpro or Prolinea models to a July 26, 1995 System ROM.

The file DBLSPACE.BIN has been removed from this diskette, freeing enough space on the diskette to allow a backup image of the current ROM (256K device) to be made on the diskette.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1362.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1362 [ENTER] 
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file SP1362.EXE if you wish.

5.  Power down the desktop machine.

6.  Place the newly created Compaq Deskpro/Compaq Prolinea ROMPaq Diskette in Drive A:, power up the computer, and follow on-screen instructions to upgrade the system ROM.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
