This is a VHD image of what would have came on a Dell Dimension 4700 desktop computer that would have came preloaded with Windows XP MCE 2005. After you restore it to a hard drive or use a vm, boot into the DSRFIX iso and run the command "dsrfix /f" (without quotes). Say yes to all the prompts, and then restart the computer. When you see the blue "www.dell.com" blue bar at the top, press Ctrl + F11. The system recovery program will start, and then you can use it. Note: you may have to change the value in seal.ini in the utility partition to match your Service Tag. Also do the same with the sysinfo.dat in fi.gho in the recovery partition. Re: How do I actually write it onto a hard disk or SSD? You can use a program called vhd2disk. I recommend you run that program in Windows 10 restoring the image externally, because it doesn’t seem to work in environments like Hiren’s Boot CD.
