3. Usage Notes

3.1 Toggle TV output mode between PAL and NTSC

If you want to switch your ELSA VICTORY Erazor between PAL
and NTSC TV outputmode, simply call PALNTSC.EXE from MS-DOS
        without any parameter by:

        PALNTSC.EXE

The program will check the current TV output mode and change
it. If your VICTORY Erazor was set to PAL mode, it will change
your board to NTSC mode and vice versa.

        Notes:

        - Early versions of the ELSA VICTORY Erazor dont support
the software switch between PAL and NTSC! The program will
give you a note if your board doesnt support this feature.

3.2 Command Line Parameters

        PALNTSC.EXE [mode]

It is possible to pass the TV output mode you wish to set.
If you e.g. want to set your ELSA VICTORY Erazor to PAL mode
simply call PALNTSC.EXE with the -pal parameter:

        PALNTSC.EXE -pal

If you want to set your ELSA VICTORY Erazor to NTSC mode call
        PALNTSC.EXE with the -ntsc parameter:

        PALNTSC.EXE -ntsc

If your board is already set to the desired mode, the program
PALNTSC.EXE will give you a note.

        PALNTSC.EXE -help

With the -help option you get a list of the supported command
        line parameters described above.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Notes & Warnings

5.1 Don't corrupt your BIOS!

Please make sure that while modifying the TV output mode on
        your ELSA graphics board you

        - don't reset,
        - don't switch off or
        - don't interrupt your computer in any way until it's finished!

If you interrupt PALNTSC.EXE in any way before its finished
setting up the new TV output mode, you will corrupt the BIOS
        of your graphics board.
In this case, please phone our support.

Please wait, until PALNTSC.EXE has finished setting the
new TV output mode on your ELSA graphics board.
The program PALNTSC.EXE will give you a note after it has
        successfully finished the setup.

5.2 Windows DOS-boxes, OS/2

Please note that the program PALNTSC.EXE doesn't work in a
Windows (NT) DOS-box or under OS/2.
You have to boot a DOS system.
