Downloading and Uncompressing a Self-extracting Executable File
1. Download the desire file by clicking on the link (name of the file) to the directory or folder of your choice on your hard drive (note the location).
2. When the file is downloaded, insert a formatted blank floppy disk into your floppy disk drive.
3. Extract the file in one of two ways;
a. START, RUN, then in the Open line type the following: "c:\path of downloaded file\filename.exe"
b. START, PROGRAMS, WINDOWS EXPLORER (In Win3.1 use FILE MANAGER), find the downloaded file, then double click on it to uncompress (extract) it.
4. Check the "Create directory structure in ZIP" check box.
5. Press the "Select output directory button" Input a:\ as the output directory.
6. All files and subdirectories will be uncompressed and saved to the floppy disk.
7. Label the disk and store it in a safe place.
