These disks contain Microsoft Word for DOS v5.0, the last version to support Lotus-style menus. Versions 5.5 and 6.0 use CUI pull-down menus that obscure much more of the screen. This word processing program is one of my most favorite applications. The installation disks **DO** look at volume label to determine which disk is in the drive, so be sure to pkunzip with the proper switch to reconstruct the volume label. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate the 5.25" diskette "Advanced Lessons". It is not required to use the program, and you can continue to install the "Learning Essentials" disks (just hit CTRL+R to get back to the main menu when it asks for them). The Advanced Lessons are included on the 3.5" distribution disks; if you want them in your 5.25" installation, copy the MOUSETWO.* and KEYTWO.* files over. While the disks can be used as-is to run the program from one or more floppy drives, it is convenient to install to the hard disk. To do so, run the SETUP.EXE program on the Utilities 1 disk. --trixter@oldskool.org
